Sura-e-Fatiha
Beginning with the name of Allah The most gracious, the most merciful All praise is to Allah the Lord of the creation, The most gracious, the most merciful Owner of the Day of Recompense You alone we worship and from you alone we seek help, Tell us, Show us and Guide us on the Straight Path The path of those whom you have favoured- Not the path of those who earned your anger Nor of those who are astray Ameen – So be it

- Of the people there are some who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day;” but they do not (really) believe.Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realize (it) not! (2:8.9)
- When it is said to them: “Make not mischief on the earth,” they say: “Why, we only want to make peace!”(2:11)
- Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth.” (2:30)
- Whosoever follows my guidance, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve? (2:38)
- Fulfill your covenant with me as I fulfill my covenant with you, (2:40)
- And be steadfast in prayer, practice regular charity Do ye enjoin right conduct on the people, and forget (To practice it) yourselves, Nay, seek (Allah’s) help with patient perseverance and prayer (43.44.45)
- Without doubt who believe, and those who follow the Jewish, and the Christians and the Sabians-any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (2:62)
- Thus Allah bring the dead to life and show you His Signs: Perchance may understand. (2:73)
- Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and messengers, to Gabriel and Michael, – Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith. (2:98)
- Unto Allah belong the East and the West, and whither so ever they turn, there is Allah’s Countenance. (2:114)
- Those to whom We have sent the Book study it as it should be studied:(2:221)
- The Baptism of Allah: And who can baptize better than Allah?(2:138)
- And each one hath a goal toward which he turned(2:148)
- And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah “dead.” Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not.(2:154)
- And follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. (2:168)
- And when it is said unto them: Follow that which Allah hath revealed, they say: We follow that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers were wholly unintelligent and had no guidance? (2:170)
- Deaf, dumb, blind, therefore they have no sense. (2:171)
- And when My servants question thee concerning Me, then surely I am nigh. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he cried unto Me. So let them hear My call (2:186)
- For persecution is worse than slaughter. (2:191)
- O ye who believe! Come, all of you, into submission (unto Him); and follow not the footsteps of the devil. (2:208)
- Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows, ye know not. (2:216)
- For persecution is worse than killing. (2:217)
- Make not the revelations of Allah a laughing-stock (by your behavior), (2:231)
- Who is it that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, so that He may give it increase manifold? Allah strengthens and enlarged. Unto Him ye will return. (2:245)
- There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. (2:256)
- And Allah guided not wrongdoing folk. (2:258)
- A kind word with forgiveness is better than alms giving followed by injury. (2:263)
- O ye who believe! Render not vain your almsgiving by reproach and injury, like him who spend his wealth only to be seen of men.(2:64)
- He giveth wisdom unto whom He will, and he unto whom wisdom is given; he truly hath received abundant good (2:269)
- (He) refrained (in obedience thereto), he shall keep (the profits of) that which is past, and his affair (henceforth) is with Allah. As for him who returned (to usury) – (2:275)
- Then lo! Allah is Aware of (who are) the corrupters. (3:63)
- Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters. (3:67)
- A party of the People of the Scripture long to make you go astray; and they make none to go astray except themselves, but they perceive not. (3:69)
- Ye will not attain unto piety until ye spend of that which ye love. And whatsoever ye spend, Allah is Aware thereof
- Say: Allah speaks truth. So follow the religion of Abraham, the upright. He was not of the idolaters. (3:95)
- O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with right observance, (3.102)
- And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful? (3:104)
- And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment. (3:105)
- Allah accepts only from those who ward off (evil). (5:27)
- O ye who believer! Do your duties to Allah, seek the means of approach unto Him, and strive (with might and main) in His cause: that ye may prosper.(5:35)
